She and fellow panelists Paul Hoffert and Greg Fisher have been making presentations on the process of scoring a film and how filmmakers can build solid relationships with their composers and get the best score for their project. March 2008 Maria is currently working on an arrangement of her score to the film Running for concert pianist and contemporary music specialist Tzenka Dianova March 2008 Communication Breakdown by director Stefano Colacitti is enthusiastically received at the 2008 Canadian Film Festival. January 2008 The Victoria Symphony Orchestra premieres Maria’s score for Ann Marie Fleming’s film Running in their Reel Music 3 concert. Fall 2007 Maria’s concert music work TRE PEZZI PER VIOLINO E PIANOFORTE played by pianist Véronique Mathieu & violinist Andrée-Anne Perras-Fortin receives its CBC Radio Canada premiere on the Espace musique channel Alain Lefèvre program. Nov., 2007 Maria has completed the score for David Scott and Sheldon Inkol’s film The Knights Feb. 18, 2007 Premiere of Maria’s newly arranged setting of Willow Song from William Shakespeare’s Otello by the Guelph Symphony Orchestra and Soprano Soloist Rosalind Pickett at the River Run Centre in Guelph.
